My wife and I had the great pleasure of visiting Holy Cross while visiting family in Oregon. Pastor Ley preached strong Law and beautiful comforting Gospel from the Gospel text from the lectionary, while tying in the Psalter and the Epistle. The Mass was celebrated with great reverence, dignity, and joy. Christ and His Sacraments were central throughout. My non-Lutheran family member who attended with us said afterward, "Everything they did and said was about Jesus Christ."
